I like how the window peeks out from the shelves of the library wall. We could use the back wall of the little white room as a library wall, if we extended the ceiling of the white room into the attic space. A library ladder could allow access to upper shelves and to a landing on the upper level (the level of the attic.) landing which we turn into a balcony that overlooks the white room. The landing could have a door leading into the rest of the attic space. This would allow us to keep the door closed so most of the attic would be sealed off from the 2nd floor. With the door closed, we wouldn’t lose so much heat in winter or warm up the house in summer. The balcony could be just large enough that it could serve as a little reading nook with a chair that turns into a bed (for sleepovers) or with an actual bed, which could turn the white room into a larger, more versatile bedroom.
