That area was part of a whole-home renovation and originally had a floor through that open area which we removed up to the second storey, requiring substantial structural improvements. It would depend on location of the project, is it new construction or renovation, etc etc

djaguilar It is new construction. Just love the stone look of the fireplace with the mantles/lighting, etc. and was wondering how costly it would be.
