It is not a special type of gravel in France; it can be found at most gardening stores. But if you are looking for something similar in the US, I would look for beige-toned gravel...I think that is the biggest difference.
Most of the exterior of the house was preserved in its original style, with the gardener's house and the barn still connected. The barn now holds a family room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
