mimilyn12 There are several ways to achieve a look similar to this. I'd suggest using two paint colors, both flat latex. Apply the first color and let it dry. Then apply the second color. Sand the edges and areas that would normally get a lot of wear with sandpaper so that a line of the first color can be seen. Once you achieve the amount of distress that you like, you can then use a glaze over the top of your piece....a chocolate glaze is always pretty. Glaze will help you move the paint around easily, but you can also use one part paint to 4 parts water. Brush it on and use a rage to wipe off excess. Hope this helps.
