7thrig Can you tell me what kind of stone you used? Do you do any work in the Minneapolis area? We are remodeling our house right now and love this style.

Paddle Creek Design we like to call it parkitecture...it draws its original from structures used in national parks.

Paddle Creek Design Architect Thom Oppelt designed the Flying ‘L Lodge in the National Parks or “Park-itecture” tradition. The 12,000 square foot lodge draws it historical precedence from two of the great lodges of the west. The first is the rustic Old Faithful Lodge located in Yellowstone National Park in Montana and the Second is the luxurious Ahwahnee Lodge in Yosemite National Park in California.
