Erin calls this area the kitchen sitting room. It's a small area that connects the kitchen to the front parlor/dining room. The Greek Key patterned mirror is faux shagreen and is from Global Views.
The clients found these fabulous vintage swivel chairs locally, and Erin had them reupholstered in this vibrant textured chenille fabric from Duralee.
3: Draw attention to something else in the room. The stunning mirror over the vintage fireplace steals the show in this living room. The TV is set off to the side, giving it secondary importance.
Tip: There's no need to put all eyes on the TV when arranging furniture in a room, especially if it's your living room. Even if the sofa faces the TV, a few occasional side chairs that act as if they're ignoring the TV help take the focus away.
Here a muted palette gets a dose of glam with a brass-legged upholstered ottoman and geometric mirror. This room feels timeless but completely current, thanks to the exercise in restraint.
