Have a pond/wetland to filter the water collected from house use-
species of wetland plants that filter water=
.cattail, bulrush, reed and sedge species.
Phragmites australis(common reed)- removes nitrogen.(is invasive)
Duck weed- removes nitrogen and phosphorous. Typha-removes heavy metals and can be woven into mats and baskets. Iris&water hyainth- removes heavey metals (wh invasive).
