Cynthia Taylor-Luce Depends on the size of pendant. I think with the high ceilings and the large size of the room, you might be better with just two lights. However, ask them at the lighting store to go over the specifications of the lights you are interested in. They should be able to tell you, based on the measurement between the bottom of the fixture and the countertop, how wide a beam spread the light will give. You want to have the countertop completely lit with no dead zones.
