Bonus Room Makeover: I stained the bar an espresso shade, applied paint, window treatments, new furnishings and pool table to create the ultimate space for entertaining.
Where is the entrance to this attic located? Is it from the garage? If so how did u design the staircase? - Please post the photos of the stair case entrance to this attic. We are in the process of converting our attaic space into a game room. The entrance is through the garage. Looking for ideas how to desin it.
Thank you. »
With low ceilings I am finding it hard not to have the paint vary from wall to wall - I just painted our upstairs that has this kind of look and the walls all look different as does the white ceiling that now looks grey. Should I paint the ceiling a light shade of Tame Teal SW 6757 which would be 6756 or just do white and add a little of the lighter color??? I am really baffled by this... Thanks »
Jamie McNeilis, Accredited Staging Professional The lighting in your room is what is causing the walls to look different colors. I'm assuming that you applied the same number of coats of paint to each wall. I typically leave the ceilings their "ceiling white" unless being intentional with something bold as part of the design plan.
salgal1229 Thanks!! Even ceiling white made the ceilings dull and gray looking... all the angles of the ceiling threw off different lights. We went to SW Sea Salt and did the ceilings with a mix of white and it looks much better!! Sea Salt is an AWESOME COLOR.... Now I want to do a bar like yours. Do you know where you got it??
is the ceiling white or lighter shade of blue!! where did you get bar? - I have an upstairs living space just like this...well minus the skylights and love this concept! »
Jamie McNeilis, Accredited Staging Professional The ceiling is white, and the bar was already there but was much lighter before - had natural to light honey tone before. The bar is built in and was custom made.
Jamie McNeilis, Accredited Staging Professional The owner was concerned about spending a lot of money when her youth son and friends were going to be rough with it, so I found this inexpensive set from Value City Furniture - the Arts & Crafts Chocolate Finish 5-PC Dining Set.
