Defined zones. The entrance to a lodge typically brings you directly into the main part of the home. Unlike in smaller cabins and cottages, lodge common living areas flow into one another, so kitchens, dining rooms and living rooms are defined by furniture and cabinetry layouts. You can emphasize these spaces with color, like with this kitchen's bright green cabinetry and red dining chairs.
"There are unique features throughout the entire home. It has historical pieces, such as art and furniture," says Frackiewicz. "The dining chairs are Thomas Molesworth reproductions from New West Furniture." Molesworth was an early-1900s Western furniture maker.The light fixture is from local company Juliann Iron Originals. The rugs hung throughout the house are Navajo rugs from the couple’s collection.
