Love the electrical how do you ask for it? - We love this space and are building our own place. What do you ask for for the exposed electrical? Is it just galvanized electrical pipe? Or is the terminology different? And the exposed ducting, is that for the hvac? Thanks!! »
The great thing about raw lofts is that they provide such interesting palettes. Whether you choose to go completely modernist or industrial, you pretty much can't go wrong. I love this room because the designer incorporated a well-worn Chesterfield sofa that looks as if it's been around for ages with sculptural and minimalist classics: the beechwood Marc Newson for Cappellini chair and Pepe Cortés' aluminum Jamaica bar stools for Knoll. This leather chesterfield is mostly traditional — the bench seat, the leather, the proportions — but its lines are straight and modern as opposed to curved. It adds softness to this concrete-heavy room, but it also mimics all the straight lines.
Love the small kitchen with eating counter and stools. Great shelving, exposed ductwork and utility lines, exposed brick and concrete, with great wood flooring.
