pebble tec - Is it Pebble Tec that you used for the pool finish? If so , what color? Very pretty, and I need to make a decision for our pool that is in the works. Thanks!

TaC studios, architects They have varied materials that are different price points, also the application is a large portion of the cost, the larger the pool the lesser the sf cost and vice versa.
Maintaining and cleaning the shallow area of the pool - - We live in South Africa and are going to be building a pool very similar to this except our shallow area will be to the side of the pool so that the pool takes on an L-shape. Could you tell me what water jets etc you allowed for to facilitate keeping this area clean and free from algae etc.
Many thanks »
TaC studios, architects The pool is 50 ' long by 8' wide, the shelf is 6" deep, the remainder varies from 3.5' to 5.5' deep. The pool holds approximately 8,000 gallons of water.
TaC studios, architects Heating a pool can be very expensive. Gas heating gives the best and quickest result if you live in a cold climate. You will also want a pool cover that holds the heat when you are not using the pool. We designed a smaller plunge pool for one of our clients. It is 15' long x 6' wide x 5' deep. Less expensive to heat, good for exercise but not for swimming.
Why the shallow section of the pool? - Aside from the aesthetics, is the a functional reason for the 6" section of the pool? Does it, perhaps, help with heating the water? »
TaC studios, architects Because it is shallow it is warmer than the rest of the pool. The shallow area is great for reading a book or magazine or just reclining and enjoying a cocktail.
This pool interior has the Aqua Blue Pebble Sheen finish.Pebble Fina, another product of Pebble Tec's technology, incorporates the ancient Greek and Roman use of pozzolans (cement additives) into the cement mix, yielding a strong, durable finish that resists etching.
