What Houzz contributors are saying:

Material: Kraft paperKraft paper may seem like a simple and mundane solution at first, but I see it as a neutral backdrop that can shift the emphasis to unique, colorful flourishes. Kraft is so easy to dress up; just use whatever materials you have on hand.

Kraft Paper / White Kraft Paper / Butcher Paper: A variety of paper rolls is a must for any studio. Most are inexpensive and they can be used for all kinds of projects. Kraft paper is my go-to and I have a huge roll that I lay out to protect my work surfaces. It is thick enough so paint cannot seep through. I use it for packaging and wrapping presents. I make templates and stencils with it for sewing projects. I can cut it up to make cards or other paper designs. I also use it as backgrounds for photographing products. White kraft and butcher paper are other alternatives and I find all three to be useful at different times.
