what finish do I use for pendants if my nook chandelier isn't the same finish as all my kitchen hardware - We have a crystal bud chandelier and want the hundi pendants above our island, It has been suggested to match the brushed nickle hardware which will lighten the space...our cabinets are tapioca with metal bronze paint... the floors are also very dark... any help would be great.. »
ledesigns ok...thank you and please help with "diameter dilemma"... do i go with two 14 1/2 or 20" ...what are these? Thank you so much for you time and consideration...my island is 97" with a lowered extension of 17 on each side
what are the dimensions of the pendants? - My island is 97" with recessed extensions of 17" on each side... do I add that in when determining my pendant size? »
Venegas and Company It should certainly play a roll in the placement of the fixtures. The distance between the fixtures will depend on the size and ultimately, how many are needed!
Venegas and Company Thank you! The tile was sourced by the interior designer and unfortunately I do not know the exact finish and manufacturer. We suggest visiting your local tile showroom. They can show you similar options. Good luck!
Venegas and Company We did a little digging for you. The flooring is Limestone and it was sourced from Paris Ceramics in the Boston Design Center. Enjoy!
Are the cabinets painted with glaze finish, or are they stained? Are they maple? - Hi, I have a somewhat small open floor plan. We installed dark maple cabinets in the family room for the entertainment center, but are considering these cabinets in the kitchen to make the kitchen area feel bigger. Do you think with the large entertainment center so visible (and dark), that white cabinets will work in the kitchen? Thank you so much! »
Venegas and Company This is a limestone tile. It was not in our scope of work, it was selected by the interior designer. We suggest visiting your local tile showroom and I'm sure they can help you pick something similar.
I don't have a lot of natural light in my kitchen - would white cabinets still work in my space? - We're working on giving our kitchen a face-lift, but not sure which direction to go with the cabinets. Since we don't have a lot of natural light, would white cabinets work, or would darker cabinets look better? Thanks! »
Venegas and Company Thanks for your inquiry! If you do not have alot of natural light, a dark kitchen tends to make the space look smaller, a light kitchen will open up the space. We often mix finishes, how about making the bases a dark finish and all of the uppers light? Or making the perimeter light and the island dark? Your best bet is to visit your local kitchen design studio and they can help you design the perfect kitchen for your needs.
Venegas and Company Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately the windows were not in our scope of work and I have no further information. Sorry we could not be more helpful.

Venegas and Company Hi Kim and thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately we didn't specify the wall paint for the kitchen. I would agree that it looks as though there is a small hint of a blue green there. I'm sorry I couldn't be of any further assistance.
lionnessone Looks like Eyelet, from Sarh Richardson one of her designer's palette from Para Paints.
A hint of green, a fresh bright spring tone that compliments white.
jaclyn1122 Can you ask the interior designer? I have been to the lighting store and have been scouring the internet to find these exact lights in particular and have turned up with nothing!... I am on a mission!
Nancy Pizzino pottery barn has lights very similar if not the same as the island light. They are called Hundi lights at potterybarn. Just looked at them as I am looking for same type of lights.
Venegas and Company The 11'-0" is from cabinet to cabinet and door casing is an additional 5-1/2" wide. There is another section of this kitchen that has the tall cabinets including the refrigerator and double ovens.
Venegas and Company Thank you for your inquiry. The flooring was sourced by the interior designer and unfortunately we do not have further information. We recommend visiting your local tile showroom and they can help you select a similar tile. We often send our clients to Tile Showcase in the Boston Design Center. Good luck!
Could this look go with a lighter colour countertop on the island such as oak? - I am thnking of using the same combo of splashback and tiled with white perimeter cabinets with a greyish toned quartz countertop but I would like to use a lighter wood on the island. Do you think that the darl laquered finish of this wood is integral to bringing this look together? ie does it create contrast and tie in the granite countertops with the island? »
Venegas and Company You can certainly go with a lighter island and oak is a beautiful wood! In this project, the darker finish was selected to compliment the existing furniture owned by the client and additional darker accents were chosen for the decorative hardware, hinge and light fixtures finishes. Just keep in mind these help complete a project! Good luck!
njmohammed Could this look work with a lighter colour wood in the island( such as oak) or do you thin k the dark laquered look was necessary to pull it together with the granite countertops and create contrast with the floor?
Venegas and Company With the overall palette of the room the medium toned wood top is what pulls all of the finishes together - both on the decorative hardware and the finish of the counter stools. If you were to change these elements a lighter wood top might work!

Gabberts Design Studio To achieve perfect symmetry, take the measurement of the length of the island, and find the mid point. Then find the midpoint from the center and one end of the island. That will give you the first location. Repeat for the other side.
Venegas and Company Thank you for your inquiry! The tiles are limestone. If you bring this image to your local tile supplier they can point you in the right direction. Good luck!
