Michelle Miller Interiors Thank you! Yes, I think they would look amazing with a dark chocolate couch. The one if the photo is a chocolate velvet which works great in the space. I used a simple tan drapery from Restoration Hardware on the windows (not shown in this photo) to create a neutral background. As for brown and gray working together it can but it really depends on the specific colors.
Michelle Miller Interiors Thank you so much and this carpet was purchased custom with Michelle Miller Interiors. The piece is fabricated in brown an ivory and happens to be one of my favorite patterns. Please let us know if you would like us to get you a proposal.
Michelle Miller Interiors These barstools were ordered custom with Michelle Miller Interiors however Pottery Barn has a similar stool called the Tolix Barstool.
Michelle Miller Interiors The sofa is actually vintage and the fabric it is upholstered in was on it when I purchased it. It is a chocolate brown velvet that is very comfortable and indestructible; wish I knew what it was too!
Michelle Miller Interiors The coffee table is vintage and was found at an antique store in Pittsburgh. I don't know much about the piece or who made it; just fell in love with it.
Wendy Otis_Rickert Hi Michelle-
Thank you for your reply. I looked and looked on Schumacher, but couldn't find the large zig zag. Any idea what the pattern name is? I was curious to see if that had in other colors. Thanks again for your time. Depending on the colors, I may order some.
Wendy
Michelle Miller Interiors The fabric is called High Voltage from Schumacher; check out thier website to see all the colorways. Let me know if you are intrested in any of them for your home!
how do I decorate a 20FT living room wall that has a 52" TV in the center of the wall - how to decorate a 20 Ft wall that has a 52" TV in the center of the wall? »
Connie Wersal-LaVelle, Allied ASID As a professional interior designer, I would look at the whole room not just your 20 foot wall. I always start with function and then move to adding the furnishings and accessories accordingly. Once a TV is placed in a room it becomes the focal point. Is the TV in a cabinet? Will it be? What is the traffic flow with the rest of the home? How many do you need to seat in this room? These are some of the questions that need answering to start. I would draw up a plan to scale and move around the furniture with templates to see options. The design flows from function to creating your personal style with pieces that work.
lefty47 HI - Very carefully ! (joke) Well this can be tricky. You can try to surround it with a dark wall color to cut down the contrast or have a collection of art and pictures around it.
Set Up a Routine: Morning, Evening and ExtrasBy sneaking in mini cleaning tasks during your normal morning and evening routine (see specific tips below), you should be able stay on top of basic housekeeping in minutes a day. When time is really short, this is all I do. But keeping your home feeling really great (even company ready) doesn't take much more effort. Look at your schedule and decide when you can fit in a handful of extra chores. Depending on the week, you might want to do them all in one go on a weekend morning (with music and plenty of coffee) or fit in an extra chore each weekday.
Way to incorporate animal print without being too loud with splash of color on otherwise plain brown couch. Couch easy color coord. Potential and not super expensive looking (kid friendly).
