Where would I find this "built in " cast iron stove...Thanks! - I still have an old Franklin style cast iron stove. It really cranks out heat when our oil heat needs a boost on freezing cold days, and with power outages often , we really count on it. This updated style would certainly be great in adding a more current style to our newly updated home. I've never seen anything like it! Where can I get one? »
What a wonderful translation of the old-school iron stove. This model is embedded right into the island, filling an odd corner and helping to cozy up the open space that surrounds the kitchen.
Under the counter. This fireplace is hardly visible, except for the ducting up to the ceiling.Design tip: This is a great example of how a fireplace can be used as a primary heat source.
Fireplace built in to cabinet. Efficient, attractive, with chimney exposed. Extend kitchen cabinets into living/dining area. Seen by all,but not a huge, expensive architectural feature
Clean lines - reduced ceiling surface areas to gather dust that needs frequent cleaning. Good open space for ease of access and creatively welcoming seating.
