Lands End Development - Designers & Builders Thanks for your question, interesting shower eh!! There is metal on the faucet head side and the adjacent side actually has a clear shower curtain between the wood and the shower. Thanks for looking!!
Urbana ~ Designer Ellen Crystal this looks like a selvedged piece of furniture. The best place to look for this type of item is at a second hand store, auctions or comb through old barns & attics. It is an old dry sink. they used to place these in bedrooms with the bowl & pitcher as a washup station for convenience before indoor plumbing. Sometimes people use them for planters as they often had a tin lining to prevent water damage to the inside (from all the splashing). Given the rustic nature of this bath, the homeowner is obviously continuing the theme with the old tub as the sink. Its a challenge to find something like this, but if you are patient & speak with many of the suggested vendors you may find it. Remember you'll need at least 33" clearance for your toilet area & then the balance can be vanity. Do not leave home without that measurement, in case you run into a piece that could work and you need to make sure its appropriate size. Senior Designer~Urbana, Victoria BC
Know that older is better. In this new construction, an antique cabinet was made into a vanity, and an old metal bucket was worked in as the sink. Use exposed copper plumbing and spray it with salt water to speed up the aging process.
