Matching wooden floor and wooden wall? - (First time I ask something) Love the matching wood on the floor and wall here...We are planning to use wooden planks on our living room floor and also surround with a wooden pannel the main window. The pannel would be bigger than the window and the idea is to put wooden blinds on that window, too. My question now: the blinds should match the wooden pannel color around the window or the floor?Thank you so much for your time!

Maria S You would match the floor and the pannel around the window and the wooden blinds to be something different or all the three woods together?Ideally I would,too...But it is sooo unlikely to find all three woods matching....Thanks anyway :)
yogis1 Hello, just wondering if you could tell me what type/colour wood has been used in this home.....I love the tones of this home, they are really beautiful and exactly how I'd love mine to look some day.
skohlmeier Thanks Charlie! I looked online and Monocoat has quite a few color options. I really like the look of this wall. Do you remember what color the stain is? Walnut or castle brown perhaps? I can order samples online, but I'd love to take the guess work out of it and just order the color in this picture. Color options are http://www.monocoat.us/products/interior/samples/?view=default.
131inverness Regarding your beautiful wood wall, did the carpenter just space the boards approximately 1/8" or 1/16" apart and then nail them to a plywood/sheetrock backing? Did she/he paint the plywood/sheetrock first?
Anne DeCocco If you go to Bellacor.com and look under flush mount ceiling lighting, you'll see some great choices that will give you this updated, clean look. Murray Feiss and Forecast both have fixtures that look very similar to this.
If you have a wide, shallow entryway, define the space using a rectangular rug wider than your doorway and center it in front of the door. Try a pattern and/or color that won't get lost when placed on your flooring.
