How does one find a venetian plaster installer? - Sorry if this is a silly question, but I've done a little research and can't really find one... and I'm in Chicago. Did you just ask a painter or did you find someone who specializes in this? Would love to do a fireplace in something similar. Gorgeous work... just stunning. Thanks for any pointers. »
Olde World Walls & Ceilings, Inc You should be apply to search the Internet to find a qualified Venetian plasterer. They should have a web site or portfolio for you to view as well. Another option would be to call paint stores and/or designers for recommendations. Good luck with your project! Randy
please tell me the sealer used to get the clear matte finish?? brand sealer? water or oil? - please give me the way you sealed these floors. we have paid so much for our floors and now the sealers seem to color even the clear ones?? thank you so much in advance.. kathleen »
Floors brand? - Can you tell me the brand and specific vendor name for the white oak floor, perhaps even a website/store that i can order from. I am having a difficult time sourcing something that looks as good as this. Thanks and nice work! »
Eutree Wide Plank Flooring Snoosh, we could certainly provide this for you :-) email what you need and I'll gladly help you. Rift and Quartered White Oak in wide plank is our specialty. joel@eutree.com
Charlie Simmons - Charlie & Co. Design, Ltd. not sure I understand your question. If you'e asking about the finish of the surround, it's Venetian plaster w/ a wax coating on it.
Johnson Squared Architecture + Planning Nicely selected boards on the wall. Does the rift/quartered cut subdue the typical oak grain? It almost has a v.g. fir feel without the orange commonly found with fir.
Mfg of Coffee table? - It is SO hard to find the right coffee table! What brand is this? I need a chrome or nickle and glass table but have children so a round one eliminates any run-ins with sharp corners. Thank you! »
My apologies, but my previous question was worded poorly; I am wanting to know the approximate dimensions of each room on either side of the fireplace. Thank you so very much. »
cluksay Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my question; however, I think I worded it poorly. I am wanting to know how big each room is on either side of the fireplace. I look forward to your response. Thank you.
Thanks Charlie,
I meant the actual surround... the material immediately around the fireplace. Is it stainless steel? Is it part of the fireplace or an added feature? »

Anne DeCocco This photo has lots of green tags telling us some great sources, but no wall color ID. Take a look at this Ideabook by the talented Kelly Porter:
skotri Does anyone know if you can achieve a similar effect by liming cherry floors? Ours our natural cherry and too orange for my liking. I'd like to try liming them in the hopes of getting a look like in this pic.
Where can I find a similar fireplace? - I love how you combined all of the materials for your fireplace. I would like to know where I could find a similar fireplace, but only one sided. I am also interested to know what the dark grey material is surrounding it (not the plaster) is it part of the fireplace insert? Very lovely. »

I like the brown/beige/tan speckled look to the fireplace - Would like to paint the brick around my fireplace a new color to make it look a little more "up-to-date."
