Mike Lucas Charlie, I asked a question about this item before and I am still obsessed with this fixture. Based on your most recent reply, does that mean the shelf system is made out of drywall/gypsum board? Or is it fashioned out of wood? Thank you.

While the owners don't appear to use these top shelves for display purposes, they could be a home for sculptures and other objects that would look good silhouetted against the light.
