Tiffany Eastman Interiors, LLC This one is really well done because it not only gives you open show storage below, it gives you a place to sit while taking off your shoes, it gives hanging space, basket space for gloves, hats, kids stuff etc, but then it gives you closed storage too, which is great...and I LOVE the ladder!!

Go vertical (with help from a ladder). These people could have stopped at coat-hook height, but instead they've gained miles of space by adding a ladder and upper cabinets and cubbies. If you don't want to bother with the built-in tall ladder, store a stepladder nearby. Yes, I do realize this closet is probably the same size as that entire Manhattan studio I mentioned earlier.

These are deeper and contain the junk better than those on the left. We will want five cubbie sections. We like the three hooks. (a) The way the bench extends over the supports (b) the base moulding and (c) the face moulding between sections give it a more finished look. I like the baskets, and could do a double stack, per the next slide, to reduce costs. However, I'd want the cove moulding to reach the ceiling. I like the 4" base.
