Ebeling & Reuss was founded in 1888 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as Zeh, Ebeling & Reuss in 1886, by John Zeh, Frederick Ebeling and Theodore Reuss. Zeh left the firm in 1900, and the company operated in Devon and later Allentown, Pennsylvania, as an importer and distributor of quality giftware. "St. Regis American Porcelain" was the company's exclusive line of domestic dinnerware. The company was sold to the Strathmore Corporation in 2002.
