What I would do is get a sample of both to see which appeals to you more. If you need anymore help picking the right pebble tile for your project let us know. We would love to help!
Ronique Gibson Many people enjoy the feeling of pebble stone underfoot as it feels organic, natural and like you are outdoors, while others don't care for unsmooth surfaces underfoot. This may be a personal preference.
As for cleaning, it is relatively easy to clean, unless you have excessive dirt (i.e., from outdoor traffic, muddy shoes, etc... because of the uneven surface). Otherwise it should clean as easily as the adjacent ceramic tile.
Cool idea; 'trim' with pebbles - I've not seen this before. Doing it in a very minimal way could be ultra modern ... pebbles entire floor of shower and under tub, and then only a border or two elsewhere in bathroom... all in gray tones.
The field on the floor is a standard "bianco" limestone.
