Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Hi Dottie- I can tell you that list on a 33" sink like this one is around $1950 (but always check with your local supplier)
Love the look! Any problems with the stainless version? - We are considering the stainless apron front sink by Elite Bath.. Is this the same mfr. for Masterpiece? If so, are there any problems associated with the stainless? We would not relish having to reinstall a sink that will be under an expensive Fusion granite! »
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Just to be sure, you should make people take their belts before coming in the kitchen. (Just like taking off their shoes at the front door.) Maybe you could have them remove their shirts and jewelry, too. ...Just to see what happens.
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Hi Mvizcarra. I don't know what state you live in, but I'm sure you could contact the company by phone or email (Masterpiece Sinks, 888-774-4122 phone, 714-993-4126 Fax, info@MasterPieceSinks.com) and find out who is your closest distributor, or if it’s possible for you to buy from the manufacturer directly. Good luck!
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Sorry, forgot to attach the note to go with the email address, above: This is a faucet by the US manufacturer Waterstone (style "Annapolis") in an Antique Pewter Finish.
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer For some reason the answers don't always show up; I'm not sure why. Other Houzzers have asked about the countertops and I've had to tell them that the countertop surface is Emporador Dark Marble with a double ogee edge. Although most professionals don't recommend marble for a kitchen countertop because of it's tendency to etch when exposed to acids such as vinegar, tomatoes, lemons, and coffee, we still have a fair number of clients who feel that the look is worth the trouble, and we have done a number of kitchens with marble countertops. I've been asked if there is a granite with a similar look, and the answer is no. I do like the warm brown of Silestone's engineered stone "Merope," (which is even more durable than granite) but it doesn't have the lovely golden veins that you see in the Emporador Dark..
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Hi Riatopia- Yes, this is a copper sink, and it's from Masterpiece Sinks (you can Google their website). This company has cool products, and they offer a good selection of front apron designs at a fairly reasonable price (I think this sink cost around $1800). They also offer a "lifetime" finish on the copper patina, so unlike most copper sinks, this one should look exactly the same as it ages. Unfortunately, if you happen to read the thread on this photo, you'll see that we have had mixed results from this company: this particular sink was actually ordered with a different pattern, and after we had waited 6 weeks for it to arrive, we kept what we were sent. It also had a dented and uneven top deck that nearly derailed the installation. (Luckily our installer was willing to do a little metal work with his ball peen hammer, and he straightened the top deck out just enough...) A different Masterpiece sink that I ordered for another client, in the nickel finish, had such horrible problems with the finish peeling off the bottom of the sink that we had to change it out. Masterpiece sent us a new sink, but the contractor and the client paid for the re-install--no easy feat when a sink is under-mounted in stone.
mamakfitz Can you tell me more about the stain you used around the window? What brand and color? We are remodeling our kitchen and have antique white cabinets now, but are struggling with the trim color. I really like the color of that stain.
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Hi Mamakfitz- I'm sorry, I am not going to be much help here. Our painter mixed up samples on this job that we then custom tinted to coordinate with the other materials in the house, and I have to say I'm not even sure what brand of stain he used. Even if we had the stain specifications and could share them with you, please remember that colors look different depending upon the light reflection of the materials around them. So a stain color that looks, say, medium brown in one home, may look green-brown in another home.
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Sorry it's taken so long to answer your question about the countertops. This is not granite; it's Emporador Dark Marble, Polished, with a 2.25" double ogee edge detail. It looks beautiful, it's true, but as I've mentioned in other replies on this subject, please talk to your stone fabricators about the challenges of marble countertops before deciding on a stone such as this one.
moomooz Oh, marble. Yes, beautiful indeed. I ditto your concerns about maintenance though. Thanks for your reply, and no apologies necessary for the delay.
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Sorry it’s taken us so long to answer your questions about the cabinet color. These cabinets were custom designed and built by a high-end cabinet company in Pennsylvania, so these colors are their proprietary finishes. In this case we used a maple cabinet, with a warm white paint/brown glaze (mostly removed --i.e. with very little hang-up on the faces) for the perimeter, and we used an alder cabinet, walnut-colored stain/black glaze finish for the island cabinets.
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Sorry it's taken me so long to answer your question. All of the hardware in this kitchen is from Top Knob, including the fridge handles, and the back-plates and knobs on the upper cabinets in this photo.
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Sorry it's taken so long to answer your question about the countertops. Neither surface in this kitchen is granite; the island is Jerusalem Limestone as Donna pointed out, and the cooking area that you are looking at in this photo is Emporador Dark Marble, Polished, with a 2.25" double ogee edge detail. They both look beautiful, it's true, but as I've mentioned in other replies on this subject, please talk to your stone fabricators about the challenges of marble countertops before deciding on surfaces such as these.
Bill Fry Construction - Wm. H. Fry Const. Co. With its distinctive air gap, it looks quite a bit like: Waterstone 4200 Single Handle Kitchen Faucet from the Annapolis Collection
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Sorry for the delay in answering your question. Bill Fry is right; this is a traditional faucet by Waterstone. We like Waterstone products because of their high quality and looks, of course, but we also like the fact that they are the only company left out there that makes their faucets here in the United States. Other companies still assemble faucets in the US, but Waterstone machines them, finishes them, and guarantees them from their facility just north of us, in Murietta, California. They now make a pull-out faucet, too--they call it a PLP faucet (for Positive Lock Pulldown).
