Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer This is a great question. As designers we KNOW that certain practical things are necessary (such as shut-off valves) but it's always a problem when builders put them in the backsplash. Moreover, we often find them at an awkward height, where they are half under the countertop and half above it. If there were a way to make the valves more attractive, it would help, but I have yet to find a plumbing manufacturer with attractive shut-off valves. (Hint, hint...if anyone reading this has found something better looking, I would love to hear about it, with photos attached, preferably...) Since the only users of this room are the homeowners (or their housekeeper), there was no reason not to "hide" the shut-off valves in a hidden location. In this case we put them in the back of the base cabinet just to the left of the appliances.
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer I'm sorry, I no longer have the specification on this room. Try my associate Tina Kuhlmann (also on Houzz.com). I designed the cabinetry but she was the main designer on this project, and she may be able to help you,
gaviotagal Actually, I think the design is perfect if only that nice table were removed. Personally I prefer lower washer/dryers for better counter space working area. Then, this room would be perfect for me. Thanks.
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Thank you for your question on this charming laundry room, and please accept my apologies for the delay in answering it. The wall color, unfortunately, was customized onsite, so we don't have a specification we can share. We started with a concept somewhere between butter and honey, and this is where we ended up.
Ronique Gibson If all of your bedrooms are located on the second floor with the laundry room it can be very convenient. While if the bedrooms are on the bottom floor, and you have to carry clothes up and down stairs it can be a hassle.
Another con is the vibration over the rooms below can be loud and disruptive, depending on what rooms they serve.
A pretty table makes a nice, functional addition to a laundry room. And it's a great multi-tasker. Think beyond just doing laundry...a table like this one is a great place to fold clothes, but it can also be a nice spot for wrapping a gift!
The closer your laundry room is to the rest of your house, the more sound will be an issue. If you are building the room from scratch, install batt insulation in the walls to reduce noise. These are heavy appliances that move around a lot. If the laundry is going to be on an upper floor, the floor joists should be reinforced to handle the load. Stiffening the floor will also reduce noise from rattling objects nearby.

Table might cramp space but would be nice to hae dedicated folding space since counters inevitably collect items in the way and don't give room to shake out clothes to fold/dewrinkle out of dryer...
