We also put MR-16 recessed downlights in each bay; you can't see them very well in this view because of the angle of the camera.

The flooring in this home is rustic 3/4" thick marble tile. We used different sized pieces of honed crema marfil marble with antiqued (chipped) edges, and the tile is set in a classic non-directional Versailles pattern (i.e., it has 5 different size pieces, set in an offset, non-linear pattern).

Unfortunately I believe this size has since been discontinued, and none of the other major dual-fuel range manufacturers (Dacor, Thermador, Monogram, DCS) is currently making a 60" range (as far as I know).

3figli Thank you for the info. My kitchen was just completed yesterday after 4 1/2 months! I eventually went with a Shaw apron front sink with a 80/20 split. It was the only one I could find with that split. I certainly wanted something a little more decorative but it worked out just fine after receiving the 3rd sink! The first two were bowed out on the front. It was a long wait and I felt someone could have been more responsible in terms of quality control, but it turned out OK in the long run. Seems we both had trouble with quality. It is an unfortunate circumstance in today's world. Thanks again for the response.

So maybe we were the exceptions who got the "lemons," you with Shaw's, and us with Masterpiece. We should probably go back and give them another try. The bar stools were purchased from the catalog store "Frontgate" about 2 years ago, and our client re-upholstered them in a custom fabric once the kitchen was complete.

As mentioned before, the countertops in this kitchen are not granite, but Michelangelo Marble with a polished finish. This particular client had a housekeeper who had been briefed on the appropriate care needed to take care of marble in a kitchen. But it's safe to say that not everyone has that level of luxury, and most people are at best uncomfortable with the challenges of using a calcium-based material in a room where many of the everyday substances are acidic (coffee, tomatoes, lemons, etc.).
