I like those style of hooks. I think the floor should be tile... for wet shoes... grinding in dirt... but rough tile so it's not slippery? A colour/texture that hides dirt? Or a rubber floor... but I'd be afraid of VOC's... I'd perfer two big shelves above, rather than small ones, or lips on the shelves above.. so to jam in other seasonal wear without having to think stuff will fall or slide out.
