I just spoke to you on the phone today, 5/15/13. I am trying to figure out where to get the shower floor tile - If you could provide the manufacturer and stock/serial/ number or any identifying info, it would be great! Thanks »
NVS Remodeling & Design Hello! Thank you for your question. The wall you can clearly see through the door is 70 3/8" and the wall to the right is 57 7/8". The two half walls are 30" each.
i have both an indoor and outdoor shower in same bath - Hi, need some help. I am building a home in the islands and are putting in a basket weave travertine shower floor in the inside shower. The outdoor shower is connected by a sliding door to the inside shower. The entire bath floor will have 24x24 travertine with old world stucco textured walls. Two questions: 1. Should I do the same basket weave floor outside or do 2x2 travertine? 2. Should I do a tile rug in front of the sinks so its not slippery? Thanks! »
decoenthusiaste Yes to tile rugs. For the outside shower I'd use larger travertine. After all you're stepping into the great outdoors and the scale of the tile should reflect that fact. Basket weaving requires man's hand be involved. Outside you'll want less evidence that man has been there, so it will feel more natural.
Rebekah Zaveloff Based on the tile sizes, I'd venture to guess 5' legs on the back, with 2'5" legs in front, with the angled part in front connecting them.
For a unified look, use mosaic tile which matches the rest of the bath tile. Most tiles are available in various sizes for this purpose. Here, 2" x 2" creamy travertine does the job.
