nancydesign I'm not sure, but I sell window coverings. They are more than likely a solar shade that is made like a Roman shade vs. a roll up solar shade. Most manufactures make this style. The manufactures I use most are Graber, Fashion Tech and Hunter Douglas. Looks like they are about a 5-10% openness factor... They can more than likely be motorized as well.
JAR Construction Company She is probably talking about the chrome or metal beads that can be installed with the tile. There are channels and beads, of varying widths and heights to match the width of the any grout joint. They come in different tones and finishes too. They are chrome plated brass in my bathroom, and were around $30 a stick (8') from Porcelanosa. My salesperson referred to them as "trims". Home depot and most tile shops sell them as anodized aluminum,
for under $10. They are shaped like an "L" and one leg is set into the thinset below the tile, so the exposed edge looks like a grout joint. I also used them as wall cap and to frame out a nook.
rogerc Thanks JAR! I see now... a nice subtle touch. I'll be sure to consider them in our bathroom renovations... we're selecting finish materials now.
The simple color choice here accentuates the layers of wall behind this TV area, and draws attention to the color and shape throughout, rather than the media placed before it.
7. Highlight architectural elements with high design. Nothing like a modern coffee table with only one leg (yep, that's right!). This table has a leg on the right side and is suspended on the left side using steel cables. The light underneath highlights the fact that this piece is suspended and replicates the other architectural elements in this space.
