Western Dovetail, Inc. There are a lot of custom cabinetmakers that will make the corner cabinets, but not many who will make the drawers out of wood. Western Dovetail was the first company to produce a line of standardized and custom corner drawers out of wood and of course all dovetailed. The original idea was presented by Blum several years ago when they asked Western Dovetail to make a prototype of a dovetailed corner drawer. Most of the corner drawers you see in pictures are the blum tandembox corner drawers used in Europe. The Wood corner drawers are much more popular in the USA.

savvybiz This is the absolute answer to corner cabinet shelves that are nothing but unaccessable dead space. Gotta find a source to retrofit, or maybe new cabinets are in the near future.

Western Dovetail, Inc. there are many opinions about this, the corner drawer gives you the most convenient acess to the majority of the space. yes you do lose some usable space, but the space you do get is as easy to access as any other drawer. what many people don't realize is that the drawers are much longer than any other drawers, they use 27" slides and are actually over 30" long on the sides. they come way out into the space and they are very easy to acess from either side.

Although corner drawers look like a major space saver they waiste as much space as a lazy susan, or a custom pull out! Hard to explain but they all do! Take a piece of paper and draw to scale the top view of the base cabinets with all the difference corner options and you will be amazed! I personally block of the entire corner in all my cabinetry and do a drawer bank on either side of the corner. With 2.5" spacing from the corner so the handles don't cause issues customers are amazed at the amount of storage they get. Customers are amazed at how much storage they can get in the 6 drawers (3 per side) which far out numbers the amount of storage you will get in a lazy susan, corner drawer or custom pull out! I also find that the 6 standard drawers are a cheaper option for the customer compared to the other options!

Western Dovetail, Inc. I can sell a set of wood drawers with blum hardware for $500-$600. the problem is that it is not very easy to just install them in a lazy suzan cabinet. a professional carpenter/cabiinetmaker would have to build out the attachment points to install the hardware.

bepsf Lazy Susans aren't appropriate for utensils and smaller items that would be placed in the top drawer.

Otherwise, there are very few solutions for corners that don't waste a whole lot of space - Lazy Susans and this included.

so as a user I would say most definately these would hold much more and can be adapted with internal orgalines to store various items, from cutlery to small household appliances.
