A bowling bag? - Ok seriously designers, this is probably the most outrageous off-the-wall use of kitchen cabinet space I've ever seen! Suffice to say it's beautifully done I can't help but wonder: where's the cereal and bread? »
Cre8tive Interior Designs @cyntag, this is a kitchenette in a fun recreation area that includes bowling, which is why there is a bowling bag as part of the display. The upper wall shelvingI was not intended for cereal and bread display or any daily functional standard kitchen use. Yes, it is beautifully done for the application for which it was designed, thank you for that comment.
jmmmlake Hi Rebekah...you're always the first to respond (thanks!!)...I was looking at some granite this wknd and came across "wild sea"...with a mosaic (1x1)backsplash in like a champagne (looked stainless to the eye) with dark brown espresso cabs...what do you think? Or should I continue looking for something light...saw some nice white river that looks sort of like marble....my floors now are beige 18x18 ceramic tile that we will change out within the next 2 yrs so I'm not looking to necessarily tie them in...but we saw this nice wild sea which is very beautiful and calming but wasnt sure it belongs in a kitchen...very spa-like peaceful looking...I was also looking to update my home with the urban looks that you like to do and I LOVE...but the wild sea would blend more with my home..would love your opinion...
T H A N K S!
Who said kitchen shelves are only for dishware? I love how this glass display not only brings out the blue and green from the kitchen, but adds a chic and unexpected visual surprise.
Displayed knickknacks invigorate a space with personality. However, they're not usually seen in the kitchen in place of dishware storage. I like the unexpected effect and the added color, but I wonder if aesthetic is winning over functionality with this idea.
fresh different idea like dishwasher stacked with countertop cabitner and the microwave looks like trash compacter too!! two under counter fridges feezers could be in island? whet
