Paul Anater The only rule is that you make what ever you do look like it was done on purpose. Transitioning between different carpets can be simple or complicated, just come up with a plan and stick with it.
mindybeckwith2008 Let me know what you think of the quality once installed. I had this installed from Empire and within days, the loops started coming out. Very upset. I had it replaced with something different
safemommy I won't be going with it. For the cost it is overpriced. May look nice in the photo but I don't see it holding up. I agree that the loops could easily lift. Still looking for the "real" manufacturer...
Can you please tell me what brand/color this carpeting is? - Love this carpeting and have been looking for months to find something similiar with no luck. Hoping you can please help me with this question. »
Irritating floor squeaks generally happen when the subfloor separates from the floor joists. The nails that attach these two pieces start to squeak as they slide in and out of the joists. The trick is to re-attach the subfloor to the joists, but it differs according to what kind of flooring you're dealing with. If your carpeted floor is squeaking: Try nailing a finish nail — a nail with little or no head — through the carpet and into the floor where it squeaks. Take a flooring nail set (or use another nail) and hammer the finish nail into the subfloor.
Designer's tip: I generally recommend nylon and wool to my clients; both of those choices are going to perform well in most homes.More flooring guides:Wood, vinyl, laminates, stone, ceramic and moreMore:How to Shop for a Persian RugHow to Choose the Right Rug for Your Entryway
