island source - where did you purchase the island from please? »
Synergy Design & Construction Hi and thanks for the question! This island was created from box cabinetry as part of the cabinetry package for this kitchen. The cabinetry brand is DuraSupreme -- visit their website to find a dealer near you. Thanks!
Synergy Design & Construction We just matched our client's existing wall color they had throughout the house, so unfortunately I don't have the specifics for you.
Synergy Design & Construction They were existing and yes, it's fine to have the lighting be different as long as they relate in some way (either with the finish or having similar lines). Don't feel like you have to be too "matchy, matchy" you just want them to look cohesive.
Very nice finishes but a few things would make it even better: paint the ceiling a color closer to the wall color. From my screen the wall color is a bit too pink to enhance the grain of the wood and under the bar/eating area, I would make the trim disappear by painting it the same color as the wall. The tile behind the stove is actually distracting to the beauty of the counters and cabinets...don't go with trendy finishes just to use them...this small tile on the backsplash doesn't fit the level of design of the rest of the kitchen. :)
