razzleme Is honed really that much less slippery? Has anyone used any of the anti skid products that are applied to the flooring surface? I would love to have travertine in my bathroom but was advised that it would be very slippery.

bethanycommons I had travertine floors in my bathrooms in the last place I lived. Never had a problem with slipping, but I put bath mats down near the shower and vanities, as I would with any surface. Also walking barefoot vs. in socks provides more traction. If you like travertine, I would not hesitate having it as flooring in a bathroom.

Rebecca Zuurhoud It's unfortunate that whoever sold you the marble did not tell you how to care for the stone or sell you the products to do the jpb. Make sure you use a cleaner specifically for natural marble- Dupont & HG make excellent products- usually sold in most tile stores.
