This standing brass lamp base c. 1940 with an inset of white alabaster was the inspiration for the varying shades of white sea glass picked up on the beaches of Bermuda. Each piece of sea glass is wrapped with copper foil and soldered together finished with a black patina. An art object in itself, when illuminated the colors of sea glass come alive showcasing the characteristics of the individual pieces.
