Menter Architects LLC We fabricated the monkey bars out of a handrail system called Speed Rail. It comes with T, L, and other fittings that allow for the connections between pieces and to the wall.
Menter Architects LLC yes, I think this would work great for a basement, the light wash of white paint allows some of the natural character of the wood grain to come through without overwhelming space like the old panelling of the 5o's basements.
Menter Architects LLC The space is approximately 21' x 24'. We would have liked to have a little more space maybe 28' x 24' but were limited by zoning code.
Menter Architects LLC Yes the roof is a 2x6 rafter construction with a 6/12 pitch. It is the original roof frame of the old garage, we added a steel truss across the center to support the climbing ropes and swings. The hip dormer is also 2x6 rafter construction

The biggest challenge for Menter was getting zoning approval.
