suburbandecorista I like the idea of the tile, but I would never put carpet on stairs.... it wears very quickly and often looks dirty and requires a lot of upkeep. I love the dark tread of this picture with the tile.
busydee My only concern with wood is because we have 8 small grandchildren. Kids "will" take a tumble and especially with 3 of them being under 2. But I agree the wood is so much sharper looking. I just hate the sea of carpet that I will be looking at when I put carpet on stairs that range from 5 feet across to 10 feet across in one long continuous set of stairs.
J.T. McDermott Remodeling Also, it looks like the tile is made of one piece. That piece having a shape like a bullnose but not a separate bullnose piece from the flat tile.
These marble decorative tile risers reminds me of an aged Renascence Mansion. The elegance it brings to the steps is clear and powerful. Not only beautiful to look at, the tile kick plate helps hind all those hard to wash scuff marks left on your stairway.
