valoz Thank you for reply. I am fortunate enough to live in Atlanta area as well, I might go to that fabric store she mentioned. However I'd love to know where she got her headboard from. There are a lot of websites selling similar headboard but cost... $1799. Ouch! LOL.
Cristi Holcombe Hello, I custom designed them. The fabrics were purchased at a local (to Atlanta) fabric store. Please email me if you are interested in pricing. Thanks!
Anne DeCocco The fabric on the curtains looks like an unlined linen in tan, beige, camel, natural, off-white (so many names for beige!). Look at the piece of curtain on the right, at the floor. It looks lighter. Pictures can be deceiving because of the lighting. But they're definitely unlined and probably a light weight linen.
kandy smith You are right rosetag, these seem a little smaller. I bought the one from Lowe's and while I love it, doubtful I could fit 3 across above my king sz. bed.
Cristi Holcombe Hi, Unfortunately I can't find that fabric name anywhere. I purchased it from Forsyth Fabrics in Atlanta back in the summer but I haven't seen it there in a while. I know they also had a blue and green colorway of it that was really nice. You might try calling them and seeing if you could send them a picture. Someone there might be able to recal the name. Thanks, Cristi
"My favorite source for inspiration is walking around a fabric showroom or retail store. I could do that for hours and come up with complete designs based on fabric." Cristi pays very careful attention to bedding, and usually has it custom designed.
The quatrefoil is repeated on the bedding and emphasized by the trio of mirrors overhead.
Design tip: Repeat elements and themes in ways that are not too matchy-matchy. This room walks a nice line of creating a theme without over-emphasizing it.
This designer likes to invest her budget in custom bedding pieces. Her investment certainly pays off here, where she's matched the quatrefoil pattern on the bolster and headboard.
For the bedroom, a softer approach may suit you best. The color combination can take a back seat in accent furniture and accessories, while still providing unexpected interest to coastal sands and light blues.
It happens in threes. Three lemon-yellow colored pillows help to draw the eye to the back of the bed, making it the focal point of the room. The pillows, patterns and three geometric mirrors are a nice balance with the low- profile headboard, side tables and lamps.
The lemon yellow pillows and printed bolster pull the colors and patterns from around the room onto the bed. The details are abundant in this example. Blue welting on the bolster matches the blue frame on the duvet cover. The bedskirt is out of the same fabric as the headboard and bolster pillow. The quatrefoil shape of the mirrors is replicated in the patterned fabric. A truly stunning example of how to tie it all together.
An easy way to make your bed look like the focal point of your bedroom is to add a piece of artwork above. Here, an artful arrangement of three mirrors (with interesting shaped frames) ties everything together.
Me gusta la idea de pintar de un color neutro toda la habitación y poner de fondo los 3 cuadros de flores que compre en boyaca, debo comprar 3 más y poner así 6
