BeautifulRemodel.com I agree that would be a nice detail, but maybe the client didnt want to spend the money to do that. Maybe the designer who posted this only made cosmetic changes and the door was an original detail. Maybe the other side of the door has another more important detail which would be destroyed by changing the door height. Maybe there is a utility soffit in the other room. Maybe this room has another room below it, so the flitch plate would have to span a huge distance to work, making it impossible or impractical.
Not only is this bedroom soothing in soft blues and neutrals, but the blended door prevents any distractions from this tranquil space. Notice how the designer achieved the look by continuing the architectural detailing down the door and painting it the same shade as the walls.
