White House color - Hi John this home is stunning. Im in Hollywood florida and about to have a new white roof put on. I can decide on what color to change my house. Im between a color like you have on the shutters or just simply white. Tripical chic is what i am going for. Is the white on this house a color or a stucco alone? if color can you tell me what the color is? Thanks so much. Eva »
John McDonald Co. Yes, the body of the house is Ben Moore bone white and the trim is simply white or a similar color that is starker than the bone white.
John McDonald Co. They are a custom powder coated aluminum color. It is difficult to give you the paint color as it does not corespond to a regular paint color.

Love the pool. - Can you clarify the pool interior color and product. Was is plaster or a granite surface? The color would be helpful too! It is all gorgeous and I especially love how the shutter color compliments the pool! »
Exterior treatment - Hi John, I want to give my two story brick balconied home a more Caribbean look. What treatment would you recommend over the orange-red brick? I've considered stucco or simply painting with semi-sheer paint. Is there some other treatment or would you recommend either of these? Thank you for your response. »
White is also a great color for homes in the tropics. It repels the sun's heat and stands out against the deep blue skies, lush green landscape and azure water. Few things look cooler than white stucco walls, coupled with a soft accent color, reflected in a pool of deep blue water.
