CHIC Redesign It will depends on who does the work. The homeowner did all the structural work (opening the ceiling, building the platform) and finishing (bamboo flooring on fascias and posts). If you have the ceiling height already, I suppose $2K+ plus material.
CHIC Redesign There is a very basic torchiere (5-lights) that can be found anywhere (for example at Target for $55), and some butterfly fairy lights on the loft railing. Good luck.
2. Lofty kid. If you have high ceilings, a loft in your child's room is an ideal way to keep the bedroom neat and orderly while creating plenty of room for play. Design a similar look yourself for the style that suits your home, but have it professionally built for safety.
7. Lofted playspace in Massachusetts. Kids love secret hideaways, like this loft built for a girl. A homework station below and a playspace above help divide work time and playtime.
This borders on aspirational dream room with that built-in loft and design-minded wallpaper. But it makes room for a real child with all that storage and color and clever use of space.
I'm not too fond of the whole design, I'm digging the structure of it though. The whole desk at the bottom thing and bed at the top. If it were my choice, the design would be more steam punk and what not.
