wall/enclosure to the right of the wall ovens? - Vey nice kitchen! What does the wall look like to the right of the double ovens? Is it enclosed in cabinetry? I'm remodeling my kitchen and at the entrance to the kitchen is a wall....on the other side of it will be a double oven. We are thinkng about tearing out the wall and having cabinetry enclose the double oven. As I menioned this "wall/side of double ovens" is at the entrance to the kitchen, which is also visible from the entrance of the house, living room, dining room, etc! Would love to see a photo with the other side, to the right of this oven to see how you address a similar situation. Thank you »
salex I think there are three considerations that might lead some to want (or require) a stove vent. First, if the cooktop is natural gas, you should vent the products of the gas's combustion outside the home (not into a filter or an attic, but outside). Second, fine food and oil particles become airborne during cooking - think of any 20-yr old kitchen with grime all over every surface. Third, some people (myself included) cook REALLY spicy food, and if I didn't vent it, my eyes would constantly be watering!
This is how I'd like the oven to look at end of wall love cabinet all the way to ceilings don't like cleaning tops of cabinets or putting stuff up there just gets grimy
This layout is very similar to ours.
Cooktop on the island. Dbl oven in the wall and open to the next room with a counter top divider.
Dislike:
Back-splash, granite color, cabinets, lights, hardware.
Pretty much everything except the fact that its similar to our layout and has white cabinets
