Kingston Design Remodeling Yes, it is the exhaust fan. It is the client's original NuTone fan which was ducted through a wall we removed during the remodel. We custom designed and fabricated the stainless steel housing so that it could be surface mounted.
Kingston Design Remodeling We're glad you love it! The fan behind the cooktop is the client's original NuTone exhaust fan which is intended to be ducted through a wall. We designed this special stainless steel housing in order to surface mount the fan and make a functional focal point out of it.
Kingston Design Remodeling Thank you! The breakfast bar shelving was custom designed in house by our firm. The shelves on the orange back splash are also from Ikea.
dyuhr We did an entire Ikea kitchen - it rocks!!! Building a new house and using Ikea once again - even bigger this time!!! You can't go wrong with Ikea!!
Love the stainless steel bar/shelves - How can I (a novice DIY'er) get a similar effect to this? How difficult is it to drill through the shelves for the posts and how was the other end attached to the wall? »
Here's another fantastic bright orange backsplash. The remainder of the palette in this kitchen is clean, light and neutral, with lots of white and stainless steel, so the red-orange backsplash and refrigerator really stand out.
