cthoman this is not my laundry room but we have four baskets similar to above. With 4 children it has helped us keep laundry moving. All dirty laundry goes to the laundry room and is sorted into baskets: dark, light, red/green, towels. I can tell at a glance which load needs to be done next. Hope that helps!
rookeroo Hi Kdgrace! I'd approximate each of the cubbies to be 20". So if you allow 6" for sides & dividers and another 24 to 32" depending on the laundry units depth you get 7' to 8' wide. The lenght is impossible to know, but typical depth of cabinets are 24" + 36"? for the hidden sink + the washer & dryer and at least 2" clearance for them. That adds up to about 10'.
mostly I try to use the floor tiles for sizing a room such as this,
Starting with the floor from side to side, the tiles look to be 12", so counting the tiles, that would be 4 1/3 tiles x 12" equals 4'- 4" and then add the cabinet depth of 24" , or 2'-0",total width: 4'-4"(tiles) + 2'-0"(cab.) = 6'- 4" total width of the room.
In the other direction, starting with the back cabinet (2'-0") and then counting the tiles up to the washer, 3 1/3 tiles x 12"= 3'-4", plus the side by side washer dryer, 27" wide each, or 4'- 6" plus a few inches for the cabinet. Total : 2'-0"(cabinet) + 3'-4" (tiles) + 4'-10" (w/d)= 10'-2"
The room is @ 6'-6" wide and 10'-2" long (from what we can see in the picture)What a lovely place to do the laundry, wish I had that room.
Heather Hughes If only our laundry rooms always looked so beautiful! This counter top is an engineered quartz. Without a doubt, one of the sturdiest, most durable counter materials out there, quartz is ideal for laundry rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and more. This particular counter looks like Caesarstone (caesarstone.com) in Lagos Blue, an beautiful gray color that has both blue and yellow undertones, so it looks great with virtually any wood or color! Take a look at the site to see the wide variety of colors and patterns available to help make your room beautiful!
