Revealing the rustic log cabin background is a beautiful backdrop for the shelves. Natural and old. The furniture and wall-hanging have got to go, and the floor should be old wide pine floorboards.
I am assuming these shelves are a bit of an archeological dig to the original log cabin structure of the space. It tells the story of the evolution of the house, and makes for an incredibly beautiful backdrop for shelves.
