dorrienelle No apologies needed! This photo sent me off for a little kitchen lamp of my own (much smaller kitchen!), and now it's a favourite element in the room. So nice to come in, turn on the little lamp in the morning, instead of all the "task" lighting or big, bright overheads. Makes me feel like I can sneak in and out without firing up the whole house or the whole day just yet.
LKM Design We are all so used to not having enough counter space, that it is a real luxury to have the ability to do this. I receive many comments on this - I will say almost all positive. And, yes, the framed photos are there everyday, not just for the shoot!
Nothing makes a room like light, light, light. Using lamps in the kitchen is something we haven't seen often, but it's such a great idea if you have the space. The choice of silver lamps is so effective here, lending the kitchen a hint of glamour.
11. Dress up the kitchen with fancy table lamps. If you are hosting a holiday open house, everyone is bound to end up in the kitchen. Make yours instantly more festive by turning off the overhead lights and setting table lamps on the counters instead. The warm glow will make everything look better ... even those dirty dishes in the sink.
I like the sink and the bump out for the sink area, that is a nice touch.
I also like the shelving behind the countertop.
Lamps are cool also, if you have the room.
