This mid-century house and garden went through an extensive remodel. A raised lap pool with a water fall is the main feature of the back yard. The raised edge works as a seat wall and helps mitigate the height of the retaining walls behind the pool. The dark concrete walls frame a dynamic relationship between a triangular wood deck and lawn on either side of the pool. The deck is accessible by stepping stones over the pool. To the side of the house an outdoor shower with a tile mosaic back wall provides a focal point from the pool deck.

DImensions - Pool Length/Width & Wall Heights - I would also like to know the dimensions of the pool. Also, what is the height of the raised edge of the lap pool and the height of the retaining wall? »
Would you consider using tile art for your pool designs? - Digital Artwork on Porcelain Tile - TRULY ARCHIVAL
Very interesting options exist for creating digital art on porcelain tile! Virtually anything that you can paint, draw, or photograph (or license from professional artists, photographers, designers) can be transferred to and kiln-fired on porcelain tile - scaled to any size - custom waterjet cuts too. Consider this for kitchens, showers, pools, fountains, landscaping, and spas. Lots of photos of completed work at my Houzz profile: »
