A breakfast nook takes up less space than a regular table and feels cozier to boot. "It's always a great choice under windows if you have an empty corner like that," says Islas. The seat cushions were tailored with a mattress edge for a detailed finish, and Islas found the perfect vintage 1920s light fixture at a nearby antiques store.
