jparish Yes, the stairway is open to the basement as well. This allows for more light into the basement stairwell. The closet is to the left of the front doors as well as the hall that leads to the master. Thanks for your interest!

Maybe we should just go with oak in the whole house in wide plank and just live with it. I will never forgive myself for going with oak cabinets in the first place. I know its my fault!!!!!
