Debra Campbell Design These were ivory cabinets and to reduce costs my faux artist painted and glazed them vs. buying new cabinetry since this is my clients' second home. They looked brand new when she finished. Great way to save ,ones as long as your faux painter is good.
Debra Campbell Design This was challenging as the far right 'window' is actually an operating door that leads to the veranda. So, we had to do inside mount Roman shades so the door could swing open. There is also a cupboard just to the right of the door, which negated using drapery panels. If these were four fixed windows, then you could use drapery panels and a bent rod (since the windows are angled.) I would have preferred draperies to soften the space (lots of hard materials in the kitchen with wood floor and cabinets, tile countertops, etc.) which is important to balance.
Debra Campbell Design Yes tile. The owner was not ready to redo the kitchen (this is a weekend home) so my faux painter / artist glazed the cabinets (the were ivory) and they looked like new cabinets. They will replace with granite one day. Glazing is less expensive than new cabinetry and can transform a room.
chilvert I must be a retro girl because I love everything about this French Country room....including the ceramic tile! I can't afford granite and can't find a laminate I like, so ceramic it may be!
maxima I am just guessing they are Ethan Allen from years ago. Check for similar styles on: http://www.countryswedish.com/catalog/furniture/easy-chairs. Careful if you use them at a table because they seem to sit lower than regular dining chairs.
Debra Campbell Design ISENHOUR furniture. To the trade only. Imported frames from France (took months) and the fabric is Fabricut. We used the same fabric but in yellow for a bergere chair in the family room just off the kitchen.
